Serving the jocularly-challenged for (over) one year!

Holy brainfart, Batman! I was just flipping through some of my old posts, and I realized that it’s been over a year since I started this here blog. The official date was Feb. 29, 2008. How could I have forgotten such a momentous occasion?

In (belated) celebration, let’s think back to those bygone days of 2008. On February 29th, the Dow Jones closed at a hearty 12266. Our beloved leader, George W. Bush, was still in office, and still doing a heck of a job. There was a really great TV show that a record number of people tuned in for. At least one pretty white girl was kidnapped, and it was the most profitable tragedy our media outlets have ever had to endure. Any dickwad with a heartbeat could get approved for a mortgage, and many dickwads had a great time with our national pastime: Flipping That House(tm).

Ah, memories. Such a wistfully wonderful era, gone forever. Nowadays, the Dow soils its britches frightening regularity. We have a new president, who is loved and hated by an equal number as his predecessor, only inverted. Coincidentally, his color is also the inverse of his predecessor. There’s never anything good on TV anymore. Ever. Not like it used to be. No pretty white girls have been kidnapped in weeks! And nobody can get mortgages for that 7th townhome in the up-and-coming neighborhood in downtown Craptard City, so who is going to Flip Those Houses(tm)? Nobody, that’s who.

Anyway, to the three people who occasionally read this blog, I hope you enjoyed my rant. I’ve been saving that up for a whole year. Just be glad that it’ll be a whole ‘nother year until I actually take the time to write a real post again.

:)
